SQL> select username, status from v$session where SID=12 Generally it is not recommended to kill session from background which has lot of undo to performed SQL> ALTER SYSTEM KILL SESSION ’42,2233' If the session is not doing undo but it is stuck somewhere, you can kill the server process in the background to clear the session.Īs such we can kill the background session in case of Undo also, it will still take time to clear the undo but in fast manner.
